Popular at war or in tournament, a chamfron was indispensible defence for a trusty steed. Ours is made of 18 gauge steel with brass re-enforcements and is equally attractive on a horse as it is on the wall. Face plate has stylish fluting and a brass boss that can accommodate decoration for parade (i.e a plume). Back side is lightly padded in leather and includes leather harness for attaching this beautiful armour to the horses head. 19 1/2" long, 9 1/2" wide.
