Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalog, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.
We accept credit card payment.
We accept Visa and Mastercard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship.
Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped.
You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, snail mail or over the Internet.
WEB ORDERS - Uniquities is a secure site. Sending details via our website is an 'offer to buy'.
All details are verified and vetted before we accept them as an order. Pricing can sometimes be a penny out (more/less) due to different roundings between web site and accounting systems.
ORDERS - Goods are not sold on a trial basis. It is the responsibility of the consumer to ensure that what they are ordering is the correct item. We reserve the right to refuse supply of goods at our discretion without explanation. Placing an order with Uniquities for knives and swords will be deemed as your declaration that you are over the age of 18 years (Eighteen years). Please note that e-mails and orders suspected of containing viruses are automatically deleted from our system.
PAYMENT - Payment is required in full before goods are dispatched. We do not take payment until goods are ready for dispatch.
Credit/Debit cards: Most major credit/debit cards accepted. In some circumstances we cannot accept payments by Solo/Electron. Goods can only be sent to the verified card-holders address. It is the consumers' responsibility to ensure the data given is correct with their bank records. Until the consumers' credit/debit card has been charged for the sale of goods, no contract will exist between a consumer and Uniquities. The charging of the card will be deemed our acceptance of the offer and our effective communication of our acceptance to them.
Cheques: Please make cheques payable to 'Uniquities' and allow 10 working days to clear (from the day we bank it). We advise that you contact us before sending cheques regarding the availability of goods, particularly if ordering multiple items.
Bank Transfer: Contact us for details regarding Bank Transfer, which is a faster method of payment than a cheque, that also allows for goods to be delivered to any address*.
DEPOSITS - Deposits are non-refundable.

Shipping And Handling The following postcodes incur a £15.00 delivery charge. IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17-26, PH30-44, PH49-50 and ZE.
All orders without a UK postcode will be subject to a £4.50 handling fee.

Delivery Schedule DISPATCH DATES - Any dispatch dates given by us are given in good faith. We will not be liable for any failure to meet such estimates. In some cases merchandise may be out of stock, but expected shortly (usually within 30 days). We cannot be held responsible for availability of goods from our suppliers.
DELIVERY/POST AND PACKING CHARGES - The majority of goods are sent by carrier. Charges are listed in our catalogue and on our website. Please allow 30 days delivery. We reserve the right to make part deliveries, with the remainder to follow later. The delivery charge will be levied when the first part of the order is sent to you. Deliveries are Monday to Friday. We apologise that we are unable to offer weekend/bank holiday deliveries. *swords/knives/daggers cannot be sent to educational addresses.
ROYAL MAIL SPECIAL DELIVERY - Orders must be placed before 2pm, for next day delivery (Friday excluded)
SIGNING FOR DELIVERIES - A signature will be required. Please remember that when you sign for goods to check that the packaging is intact and sealed/unopened. THIS IS IMPORTANT in case of return. If you have any doubts please call for advise before signing.
Overseas deliveries: please contact your own government/customs departments to clarify legality of importing swords/knives/daggers. Knowledge of and adherence to local laws and/or statutes is the responsibility of the consumer. We cannot be held responsible for subsequent loss or additional costs that may be incurred due to import taxes, duty, handling fees etc.

Tax Charges UK Sales Tax (VAT)
UK Sales Tax (VAT) is automatically deducted if you live and select delivery outside the European Economic Community (EEC)
Prices are normally shown in UK Pounds (£) Sterling including VAT. If you live and require delivery outside of the European Economic Community (EEC), UK Sales Tax(VAT) will not be charged.

1. By law a customer living in the European Economic Community (EEC see below) must be charged VAT at UK rates on the transaction.
2. Where we ship goods to a country outside the EEC, any taxes or import duties imposed by that country is the sole responsibility of you, the purchaser. These taxes or duties are typically invoiced and collected by the delivery company.

Prices will be displayed with or without UK Sales Tax (Value Added Tax) . VAT on products can vary between zero and 15.00% as mandatory laid down by Customs and Excise for composite products containing elements of both standard rate VAT and zero rate VAT (e.g. book with jewellery item). CONSUMER DETAILS - Uniquities will only use information collected about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). We use the information to process your order and to provide you with the best possible service. This includes your name, address, phone numbers, email address and credit card details. Please note that your credit card details are not stored electronically and are used temporarily to gain authorisation. Payment details entered on our web site are automatically encrypted. |
Returns Policy RETURNS - All returns for whatever reasons must be authorised. We will require the original invoice/receipt or copy thereof as proof of purchase. Please remember that when you sign for goods to check that the packaging is intact and sealed/unopened. Any goods/delivery query/shortage or fault must be notified in writing.
FAULTY RETURNS - Faulty goods must be advised within 7 working days (from the day after receipt of goods) for replacement, in its original packaging and condition. Please contact us so that we can arrange collection (UK only). Please advise if you have signed for the goods as damaged with the carrier who delivered the goods.
NON-FAULTY RETURNS/RIGHT TO CANCEL/COOLING OFF PERIOD
Goods MUST be UNOPENED and in original packaging for full refund. Cancellation must be advised in writing within 2 days (post, e-mail or fax) with goods returned within 7 days (from the day after receipt of goods). Our delivery service charges are non-refundable. Consumer is responsible for cost of return including appropriate insurance and for ensuring the goods are returned to us in original condition. Uniquities are not responsible for damage/loss of goods whilst being returned. Please remember that it is your responsibility to take care of the goods whilst they are in your possession. Goods returned damaged or used will not be accepted and if the goods or packaging are opened/damaged and not saleable 'as new', we reserve the right to seek recompense for the resulting loss in value. Uniquities complies with current legislation with regards to returns, specifically The Customer Protection (Distant Selling) Regulations 2000. i.e. you have the right to return the goods for a refund provided they are completely unopened/unused and returned within 7 working days after the day on which you received them.
OTHER RETURNS - Goods returned without authorisation will be refused. Please note that we are unable to accept earrings for exchange or refund.

Remittance Terms PRICING - Prices are in pounds (£) sterling. Prices include V.A.T. where applicable. Whilst we endeavour to maintain our prices, we reserve the right to amend prices without notice in the event of unforeseen manufacturers and/or suppliers charges.
